A SPECIMEN ANGLING VENUE
Le Val Doré is a complex of five mature tree and reed-lined gravel pits located in northern France and is just 1 hour away from Boulogne, 30 minutes from Dieppe and 75 minutes from Calais or le Havre.
The lakes, situated in the Vallée de la Bresle, are well established, being over 40 years old.

CARP: OUR SPECIALTY!
25 years ago, Val Dore Lakes fishery was created specifically for carp fishing. These are now 6 lakes in which today swim a truly exceptional livestock. The density of carp is impressive and very large fishes are very numerous. They all get a high average weight fish : 32 lb. Lake 1 and 2 have in addition large catfish in them.

LAKE N°1 : CARP - CATFISH
is approximately 16 acres and is stocked with over 5 tons of carp to over 70 lb.
It also holds catfish, few big sturgeons and grass carp to over 35 lb.
The margins offer excellent features for holding fish; the bottom is slightly ridged with the gullies being lined with shallow silt and the ridges hard.
During the autumn/winter season small hooks (6 and 8), single 10 mm boilies fished with either a stringer or PVA bag is usually the most effective method. During the spring and summer months, larger hooks and baits will work. Semi-fixed heavy leads are more effective at all times.
There are also perch to over 3.5lb and some very good roach if you fancy swapping a carp rod for some daytime float fishing.
There are 6 double swims and one single swim (peg 3).
Three Cabins (chalet or shed) are set on swim 2, 4 and 6.

LAKE N°2 : CARP - CATFISH
is approximately 14 acres and is also stocked with over 5 tons of fish with carp to 74lb and also grass carp and catfish to over 154 lb!!!
There are also 6 double swims and 4 single swims (pegs 9, 10 , 11 and 16) available.
One Cabin (confortable chalet or shed) is set on swim 12.
All lakes offer excellent facilities for you to enjoy your fishing, with a good, driveable track giving excellent access to all swims.
The swims themselves are generous in size with plenty of room for your bivvies and room to set out your other equipment.
You may park your car at or adjacent to your swim. Please ensure that you parked off-road and do not obstruct access for other vehicles.

LAKE N°3 : CARP
is approximately 8 acres and is stocked with carp.
Carp in Lake 3 can reach a similar weight to those in the other lakes.
The biggest carp here is 62lb.
It contains 4 swims and 5 anglers maximum at any one time.
The whole lake can be booked by a group of up to 6 anglers for £1285 (1500€) in 2024.
This lake is close to the reception / restaurant and all facilities.
Only whole lake booking is possible on that lake from april to october.
All lakes offer excellent facilities for you to enjoy your fishing, with a good, driveable track giving excellent access to all swims.
The swims themselves are generous in size with plenty of room for your bivvies and room to set out your other equipment.
You may park your car at or adjacent to your swim. Please ensure that you parked off-road and do not obstruct access for other vehicles.

It is stocked with 2 tons of fish, primarily carp, and offers easier fishing. The biggest carp is 62lb. (Average weight is 28lb).
There are 3 double swims (pegs 21 - 23 - 25 ). A cabin (confortable chalet or shed) is set on swim 23 is included in the price.
In the season this lake must be booked as a whole lake for up to 6 anglers for 1760 €) per week in 2024.
This lake is close to the office and all facilities.

is approximately 13 acres and is also stocked with over 700 carp to the mid 75s along with grass carp.
There are 4 double swims and 3 single swims (peg 26 - 28 - 31) available on this lake.
One Cabin (confortable chalet or shed) is set on swim 29.
All lakes offer excellent facilities for you to enjoy your fishing, with a good, driveable track giving excellent access to all swims.

It is a whole lake booking for 1 to 2 anglers maxi.

The swims themselves are generous in size with plenty of room for your bivvies and room to set out your other equipment.
You can unload gears next to the peg and you may park your car or van at our car park really close to your swim.
It is a whole lake booking for 1 to 2 anglers maxi.
